Alfred looked for you outside the bathrooms. When he walked into a clearing, he saw what he needed to see. As he stood frozen still on the dirt, drowned by the excitement of festivities and laughter of strangers, his chest ached with the sobs he’d yet to cry. The ringing and buzzing of machines in his ears faded. He couldn’t feel Jason’s arms around his neck anymore. All he knew was you and Allen sharing a tearful reunion, then his own crushing betrayal. | He didn’t like eating out back then. He was a cheapskate. But just for the opportunity to strike up a conversation, he would spare a few bucks for a coffee or a bagel. And just like any other regular customer, the staff eventually came to know him by name—Alfred, the guy who only came in for a single cup of joe. And he’d always sit in the same place. The counter in front of the kitchen door. You burst through it with a tray in hand. Alfred glances up. You flash him a smile. Making long, purposed strides to one of the booths

Disclaimer: This is a crossover with the film “Avatar”. A/N: This story is mainly told from Alfred’s perspective. There will be switches to his point of view indicated by ‘Alfred (V.O)’ as a VoiceOver for his thoughts. Synopsis: In 2154, humans have depleted Earth's natural resources, leading to a severe energy crisis. They embark on an interstellar journey to Pandora, a lush alien moon, to mine for the priceless mineral, unobtanium. On their quest to ravage this world of its raw materials, they are met with resistance from a highly-evolved native population, the ‘Na’vi.’ Meanwhile, scientists link their minds to Na’vi/human hybrids, Avatars, to gain free movement in the poisonous environment. “You wanna know why I was robbing banks?” Mathias nodded silently, beckoning him to continue. There was really only one answer to that question. Money. The drive to survive, the purest desire in existence. Something like moral ambiguity had no place in the equation. Not that he was a saint by any means. “What do I look like, Jesus? Do I need a reason?” “Yeah, were you desperate?” “Of course I was desperate,” The redhead scoffed. “It’s always about the fucking money. Nothing else.” A waitress came by to drop off a cup of corn chowder. He watched her place it down where Mathias pointed to—right in front of him. After some hesitation, he picked up a spoon and dunked it in. The longer Allen sat here with the guy, the more doubtful he was of his intentions. “My treat.” Mathias folded his arms across the table. Seeing the other’s skeptical frown prompted him to add this. “Is it bad for me to be curious?” “No,” Allen sipped a spoonful of the hot soupy goodness before sitting up again.

It was a Godsend that Allen’s shift required him outside of the restaurant for most hours, otherwise, you weren’t sure how you could handle this. When he was in the restaurant, your manager left it up to you to teach him the ropes, seeing that you both already knew each other. As the last two employees left in the establishment, you never held back on training him, but he liked to call it ‘workplace bullying’. “This is all wrong. Do it again.” Gesturing to the clean dishes he slotted in the dish rack, he turned to you with a cloth in one hand and a plate in the other. “What do you mean, do it again? They’re clean!” “But you didn’t do it the way I showed you.” Allen threw his head back out of frustration. Before he could pace off, you pulled him in by the wrist—he sighed as he was moved against his will—so he could stand in front of the sink. Taking the cloth from him, you hung it on the wall. “Start over. We’re not leaving ‘til you get it right.” “Why do you gotta be so mean to

"You're doing it again." You heard him say. Everybody except Alfred was in the garage, tinkering away at a car. The only fan in the house was here, and three was starting to become a bit of a squeeze. Any more, and the sweltering heat would have been unbearable. "Doing what?" You lifted your head inquisitively, but the expression morphed into discomfort when he scrubbed your cheek. "You're not telling me things." Oil and grease were smudged all over your face, and Allen was on the job, wiping it all off. Repair work in this kind of weather was grueling, but you refused to go inside. He returned your wary gaze with a wide toothy grin. "If you're gonna be one of the greasers, you gotta act like it. Any problem of yours is my problem." His pearly whites served a stark contrast to the blotches of black over his features. It was cute, even, but you wished he could be just as quiet. Like Alfred, he was never one to beat around the bush. Casting a tired glance at him, you sighed. "I spend
It's 2024 and this page is still up 12 years later ... oh the nostalgia! Spent so many hours and nights here, hope everyone is doing well! Used to log in when I was 17 years old, I am 27 now, time flies.

So there are a million England Fics (ive contributed to them so i know how hard it is to sift through them) However there was a particular fic that I read a long time ago that I thought I had favourited but I cannot locate it (I'm afraid the author may have deleted it....) if not, I'm hoping someone else recognizes this story.
It starts out with the reader character and Alfred (America) in modern day, they are best friends. Something happens and the reader gets sent back in time where she meets Arthur Kirkland (Pirate England) the story kind of goes on from there. Sealand is Arthur's little brother and Scotland is a part of the crew and Pirate England is searching for a pirate for some sort of revenge (You know, that whole schtick) and the reader has to wait for a month or so for the device that sent her back to work again so she can go back to her own time. But she has her cell phone and talks to Alfred while in the past some times. I wish I could find this since I remember really liking it and I wanted to revisit it XD I'll keep searching on my own but if anyone else finds it or knows what I'm talking about please let me know haha
That sounds like a really interesting story, actually! I hope the author hasn't deleted it, and is hopefully sitting under hundreds of other England fics. I'll give the folder a search, and I'll let you know if I've found it. Sorry for the late response, life has been hectic!
