Cruelty of Sin (Mafia!RussiaxReader) ch. 3
“Ms. (L/n)?” an oh-too-familiar-voice said from the other side of your door, right before knocking. You looked up from your book temporarily before turning the page and going back to the story. You heard Toris sigh before he opened the door. “Ms. (L/n)? Mr. Braginski wants to see you.” Again? Already? You glanced at him, debating with yourself. The stubborn girl in you insisted you stay rooted in your room. That stubborn girl argued with the little girl inside you. The scared little girl, the one who didn’t know nor wanted to know what was going on. She wanted to obey, just like she always has. Obey, please, keep

Obsessed… He hated that word.
Through the parted curtains the moon cast a soft glow upon the floorboards, bathing the room in pale blue. The hour was late, most other having collapsed into slumber… but not Ivan Braginsky.
He couldn’t bring himself to close his eyes lest he wake up to find that the bed was empty, leaving him alone. Upon the nightstand, the red numbers upon his digital clock shifted onward, counting the time spent engaged in a war against the lull of the sandman. Rather than submit, he listened to the steady rhythm of your breathing, t

Once Toris opened the door to the dining room, you could tell how deep the hole your father had dug himself. It was massive. Almost as massive as the man sitting at the head of the table. Those butterflies you were feeling earlier? Yeah, they were back in full force, worse actually, you felt like you were about to vomit up those butterflies. How were you going to eat like this?
The man sitting at the end of the table was, for lack of a better word, a giant. His sandy blond hair framed his face perfectly. His facial features were interesting to say the least. He had a deceivingly gentle smile adorning his thin lips. His eyes were like swimmin

You watched as your father paced the floor of your home. He was stressing. You both were stressing. You were meant to have three-thousand dollars by now, but you barely had half of that! It wasn’t for lack of trying on your part; your hours at the hotel had been cut, the manager of the restaurant you worked at only gave you two or three days a week, and finding a third job had proven to be fruitless. Where it felt nice to have a little bit of time off, it was also stress inducing.
“Dad, sit down. We’ll figure something out.” you sighed. Your heart was breaking more and more every step he took. You weren’t exactl

It was the same everyday. A monotonous cycle. A cycle that went on forever and ever. A cycle I couldn't get out of, and maybe didn't want to. After all, nothing would change. The trains would stay the same. The crowds of people. The old bakery down the block. Even that sunflower shop.
Everything was the s––
Wait a minute. Since when was that sunflower shop there?
Curious, I took hesitant steps towards it, opened the door, and took a peek inside. No one. There were, however, more sunflowers inside. It seemed

Trying to relieve some of your tensed muscles by sitting straight, you reached over to the bowl of goodies, (e/c) orbs still following the lead character. Your free hand scanned the smooth bowl, only to find it empty. Averting your eyes from the book, you scowled at the empty bowl.
“I’m out of candy.” You closed your book—not before marking your page—and placed it on the coffee table. You lifted your feet up to only place it on the couch you were sitting on. Now, you shifted your body as you lay on your side.
The sugar meter was now low, and because of lack of sweets, you yawned.

"Isn't this relaxing?" Ivan asked.

Ivan chuckled. "You're getting better, though. It looks better than that last... Scarf you made."

He sighed and put his knitting needle down. "I think it's about time we take a break, da? I'll make us something to drink."

Russia X Human Reader // Revived Sunflower II
The bright and colorful lights lit. Children’s faces pressed against the windows of toy shops. Carols being sung from door to door. They were all signs that Christmas was near. It was a time of hustle and cheer. Unfortunately, I could not enjoy the splendor of Christmas at the moment. I, (y/n), the country of (c/n), was stuck in a meeting with the Axis and Allies arguing about who could create the best Christmas party.
It wasn’t that bad though. After all, I was next to someone special. Ivan Braginsky, the personification of Russia, was by my side. I smiled at the memories we made during my past life. It was difficult parti
